Product Specific Information

The eBioGoH3 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse and human CD49f (Integrin alpha 6), also known as VLA-6 alpha chain and platelet gpIc. CD49f is a 120 kDa transmembrane protein that associates with CD29 (beta 1) or CD104 (beta 4) to form VLA-6 or alpha6beta4 complexes. It is expressed on T cells, monocytes, platelets, epithelial and endothelial cells, and germinal center B cells.
This antibody is cross-reactive with human, mouse, and bovine integrin alpha 6, and can block the binding of integrin alpha 6 to laminin.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry on human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Super Bright 780 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 780 nm. Recommended filter: 780/60 bandpass. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Staining Panel Recommendation:
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Protect vial and samples from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness.

Target Information

CD49f (Integrin alpha-6, ITGA6) is an integrin alpha chain that forms complexes with beta chains (e.g., beta 1 or beta 4) to mediate cell adhesion and signaling. It plays a structural role in epithelial hemidesmosomes and is involved in cell-surface mediated signaling, adhesion, and interaction with the extracellular matrix (ECM).
Integrins regulate cellular proliferation, mobility, and cytoskeletal organization through ECM and growth factor signaling integration. CD49f is predominantly expressed by epithelial cells.
