Product Specific Information
When used in combination with the biotinylated human IL-1 RII affinity-purified polyclonal detection antibody in sandwich ELISAs, no significant cross-reactivity or interference was observed with recombinant human IL-1ra, IL-1 RI, recombinant mouse IL-1ra, or recombinant rat IL-1ra.
Target Information
The IL1R2 gene encodes a cytokine receptor belonging to the interleukin 1 receptor family. This protein binds IL1A, IL1B, and IL1R1/IL1RA, acting as a decoy receptor that inhibits ligand activity. IL4 can antagonize IL1 activity by inducing IL1R2 expression. The gene is part of a cytokine receptor cluster on chromosome 2q12, with two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein.
