Target Information
The product of this gene is a microtubule-associated protein predominantly expressed in epithelial cells. These proteins are involved in microtubule dynamics, which are essential for cell polarization and differentiation. TBC1D1 stabilizes microtubules and may modulate their functions. Studies in mouse models indicate a critical role in spermatogenesis.
