Target Information
PI4KB and PI4KA are the two human type III PI4 kinases, which share sequence similarity with PI3 kinases and phosphorylate the 4 position of phosphatidylinositol.
These kinases act as transporters for alanine, serine, cysteine, and threonine, exhibiting sodium dependence.
Target protein phosphorylates phosphatidylinositol (PtdIns) at the D4 position of the inositol ring and may play a role in neuronal differentiation and maturation.
