Product Specific Information

Description:
The 3.9 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD11c, the 150 kDa integrin alpha X chain. CD11c non-covalently associates with beta2 integrin to form the CD11c/CD18 heterodimer. This complex is expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, macrophages, NK, dendritic cells, and subsets of T and B lymphocytes. CD11c/CD18 binds to CD54, iC3b, and fibrinogen, playing a role in leukocyte adhesive interactions.

Applications Reported:
This 3.9 antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells.
Use at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test (empirically determined).

Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Excitation / Emission / Laser:
488–561 nm excitation; 667 nm emission; compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD11, along with CD18, forms a heterodimer adhesion molecule.

• CD11a: Expressed in B and T lymphocytes, macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, basophils, and eosinophils.
• CD11b: Expressed by monocytes, macrophages, NK cells, some B and T-cells, and granulocytes.
• CD11c: Expressed in monocytes, macrophages, NK cells, some granulocytes, and subsets of lymphocytes.
