Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Centromere and kinetochore proteins are essential for centromere structure, kinetochore formation, and sister chromatid separation.
CENPH colocalizes with inner kinetochore plate proteins CENP-A and CENP-C during interphase and metaphase.
It is localized outside of centromeric heterochromatin (where CENP-B resides) and inside the kinetochore corona (where CENP-E localizes during prometaphase).
CENPH can bind to itself and to CENP-A, CENP-B, or CENP-C. Multimers of CENPH are constitutively localized to the inner kinetochore plate and play a key role in organizing and functioning of the active centromere-kinetochore complex.
