Target Information

CD127 (Interleukin-7 receptor, IL-7R) is a glycoprotein involved in the regulation of lymphopoiesis. The response of cells to CD127 depends on the presence of IL7R, an alpha/gamma chain heterodimer.
The gamma(c) chain associates with the interleukin-2 receptor and activates signal transduction, while the alpha chain determines specific signaling via cytoplasmic molecules.
CD127 promotes proliferation of precursor B cells, thymocytes, T cell progenitors, and mature CD4+ and CD8+ T cells.
Dysfunction of CD127 is associated with severe combined immunodeficiency disorders.
