Target Information
Humanin은 알츠하이머병으로 영향을 받은 뇌에서 발견된 새로운 24 아미노산 폴리펩타이드로, 미토콘드리아 16s 리보솜 RNA와 99% 상동성을 가집니다.
이 단백질은 신경 보호 및 세포 보호 인자로 작용하며, 베타-아밀로이드 및 FAD 유전자에 의해 유도된 신경세포 사멸을 억제합니다.
Humanin은 Bcl-2/Bax 계열의 친사멸성 인자(Bax, Bak, Bid, BimEL)에 결합하여 그들의 활성을 억제하고, JAK/STAT 신호 경로를 활성화하며 TRIM11에 의해 조절됩니다.
또한 IGFBP-3과 상호작용하여 glioblastoma 세포에서 IGFBP-3 유도 세포 사멸을 차단합니다. Humanin은 대장과 고환에서도 발현됩니다.
