Target Information
Protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs)는 단백질의 인산화된 티로신 잔기로부터 인산기를 제거하는 효소군입니다. 이들은 tyrosine kinases와 함께 MAP kinase 계열을 포함한 다양한 신호전달 분자의 인산화 상태를 조절합니다.
PTPs는 세포 신호전달, 성장, 증식, 종양성 변환, 세포 주기 조절 및 발생 과정에 관여합니다. Dual specificity phosphatases (DSPs)는 PTP 계열의 하위 그룹으로, phosphothreonine과 phosphotyrosine 잔기를 탈인산화하는 특성을 가집니다.
대표적인 DSP는 vaccinia virus의 VH1 유전자로, 얕은 활성 부위 포켓을 통해 serine, threonine, tyrosine 잔기를 포함한 다양한 기질을 탈인산화할 수 있습니다.
