Target Information
Sulfotransferase 효소는 여러 호르몬, 신경전달물질, 약물 및 외인성 화합물의 황산화 결합을 촉매합니다. 이 효소들은 세포질 내에 존재하며, 조직 분포와 기질 특이성이 다릅니다.
이 유전자는 열에 민감한 효소 활성을 가진 phenol sulfotransferase를 암호화하며, 염색체 16p에 위치한 네 개의 sulfotransferase 유전자 중 하나입니다. SULT1A4와는 부분 중복을 통해 유래되었고, GIY-YIG 도메인을 포함하는 단백질 유전자(GIYD1)와 엑손이 겹칩니다.
여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변이가 보고되었으나, 모두 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
