This antibody detects endogenous levels of CXCR2 only when phosphorylated at Serine 347.
Target Information
CXCR2 is a receptor for interleukin-8 (IL-8), a potent neutrophil chemotactic factor and a member of the GPCR family. Binding of IL-8 to CXCR2 activates neutrophils through a G-protein–mediated phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.
CXCR2 binds IL-8, GRO/MGSA, and NAP-2 with high affinity and is expressed in various tissues. ESTs have been isolated from human placenta and thymus libraries.
