This antibody detects endogenous levels of total Elongin A protein.
Target Information
The ELOA gene encodes the transcriptionally active subunit of the SIII (elongin) transcription elongation factor complex, which includes regulatory subunits elongins B and C. This complex enhances RNA polymerase II elongation by reducing transient pausing along the DNA template. The encoded protein is specifically expressed in the testis, suggesting a role in spermatogenesis.
