Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
SOX17 (transcription factor SOX-17) belongs to the SRY-related HMG box family of transcription factors.
It acts as a transcription regulator that binds target promoter DNA, bending the DNA to facilitate transcriptional regulation.
SOX17 binds to sequences 5′-AACAAT-3′ or 5′-AACAAAG-3′, modulates WNT3A-mediated transcriptional regulation, and inhibits Wnt signaling by promoting degradation of activated CTNNB1.
It plays an essential role in embryonic development, including heart tube looping and definitive gut endoderm formation.
Mutations in the SOX17 gene are associated with vesicoureteral reflux.
