Target Information
This gene belongs to the transient receptor family and the TrpV subfamily.
It encodes a calcium-selective channel with six transmembrane domains, multiple phosphorylation sites, an N-linked glycosylation site, and five ANK repeats.
The protein forms homo- or heterotetramers and is activated by low internal calcium levels.
