Product Specific Information

The 1D11 monoclonal antibody reacts with human NKG2D, a 42 kDa lectin-like molecule expressed by NK cells, γδ T cells, CD8+ T cells, and some CD4+ T cells. NKG2D forms complexes with DAP10 and costimulates multiple NK activation receptors. Its counter-receptors MICA/MICB are expressed on epithelial tumors (lung, breast, kidney, ovary, prostate, colon).

• Applications Tested: Pre-titrated; use at 5 µL (0.125 µg)/test (in 100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
• Fluorochrome: PerCP-eFluor® 710 (emission 710 nm, excitation 488 nm)
  • Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass (695/40 acceptable)
  • Light sensitive; protect from light
• Fixation: Compatible with IC Fixation Buffer (#00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (#00-5333); store fixed samples up to 3 days at 4°C in dark.
• Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Natural killer (NK) cells are lymphocytes capable of lysing tumor and virus-infected cells without prior activation. They express several C-type lectins involved in immune regulation. The NKG2 gene family encodes transmembrane proteins with type II membrane orientation and C-type lectin domains, located in the NK gene complex region.
