Product Specific Information

The HI100 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD45RA, a 220 kDa molecule expressed by subpopulations of CD4+ and CD8+ peripheral T lymphocytes, and B cells. CD45RA+ T cell populations are mainly naive/virgin, allowing use as a phenotypic marker to discriminate T cell subsets.

Target Information

CD45RA is an isoform of the CD45 complex with restricted expression among lymphoid subtypes. CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, representing ~10% of lymphocyte surface proteins. It regulates Src-family kinases and plays a key role in lymphocyte development, antigen signaling, and integrin-mediated pathways. CD45 isoforms differ by extracellular domain and vary by cell type and physiological state.

CD45 dysfunction is associated with severe combined immunodeficiency and Hepatitis C.
