Antibody detects endogenous levels of total UTP14A.
Target Information
UTP14A may be required for ribosome biogenesis. The gene encoding UTP14C maps to human chromosome 13, which houses over 400 genes such as BRCA2 and RB1, comprising nearly 4% of the human genome. Polysomy of chromosome 13 is deleterious to development and decreases survival rate. Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome) is lethal, and survivors often suffer from neurological defects, feeding difficulties, and respiratory infections.
