Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
ARHGAP20 is a potent GTPase-activating protein (GAP) that converts Rho-type GTPases into an inactive GDP-bound state. It contains a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, a Ras-associating domain, a Rho-GAP domain, and two Annexin-like (ANXL) repeats. ARHGAP20 acts as a direct downstream target of Rap1 in neurite outgrowth, where its overexpression promotes neurite extension in a Rap1-dependent manner by inactivating Rho. This gene functions as a tumor suppressor, being inactivated by deletion in breast cancer and by chromosomal translocation in B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia. It is implicated in cytoskeletal rearrangement and cell signaling during spermatogenesis. Expression is predominant in the human brain, liver, ovary, and spinal cord, with lower levels in lymph nodes and fetal liver.
