The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

The protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family are signaling molecules that regulate processes such as cell growth, differentiation, oncogenic transformation, and the mitotic cycle.
PTPN21 (protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 21), also known as PTPD1 or PTPRL10, is a 1,174 amino acid member of the PTP family localized to both the cytoplasm and cytoskeleton.
It contains one FERM domain and one tyrosine-protein phosphatase domain, catalyzing the conversion of protein tyrosine phosphate into protein tyrosine and free phosphate.
PTPN21 may play roles in liver regeneration and spermatogenesis. The gene maps to human chromosome 14, which houses over 700 genes and comprises nearly 3.5% of the human genome.
