This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody shows specificity for Mouse CD80/B7-1.

Target Information

CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2) are ligands of the T-cell costimulatory molecule CD28 and the inhibitory receptor CTLA-4 (CD152). Both are expressed on professional antigen-presenting cells and are essential for T-cell activation. CD80 is rapidly induced on the surface of activated B cells, EBV-transformed B cell lines, Burkitt’s lymphoma cell lines, freshly isolated follicular B lymphoma cells, T cells, and monocytes.

The B-lymphocyte activation antigen B7-1 provides regulatory signals for T lymphocytes through binding to CD28 and CTLA4.
Diseases associated with CD80 dysfunction include gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma and myocarditis.
