Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD2 (LFA-2) is a monomeric surface antigen (MW 45–58 kDa) expressed on human T-lymphocytes and some NK cells, but not on B lymphocytes.
It mediates adhesion between T cells and antigen-presenting cells via interaction with CD58, stabilizing cell-cell contact.
CD2 expression increases upon T-cell activation, enhancing immune response.
Deficiency in CD2 can reduce intestinal inflammation and affect infection control.
Associated diseases include penile squamous cell carcinoma and immune deficiency due to thymus absence.
