Target Information
이 유전자는 serine protease 계열 SC 클랜의 S9B 패밀리에 속하는 단백질을 암호화합니다.
이 단백질은 post-proline dipeptidyl aminopeptidase 활성을 가지며, 단백질 N-말단에서 Xaa-Pro dipeptides를 절단합니다.
DPP4와 유사한 활성을 보이지만 막 결합형은 아닙니다.
Dipeptidyl peptidase 계열은 기질 단백질의 활성을 조절하는 역할을 하며, 제2형 당뇨병, 비만, 암 등 다양한 질환과 연관되어 있습니다.
여러 전사 변이가 보고되었으나 완전히 특성화되지는 않았습니다.
