Calcium Channel gamma-3 (CACNG3)는 전압 의존성 칼슘 채널(VDCCs)의 구성 단위로, 뉴런의 칼슘 신호 조절에 관여합니다. N-Type VDCCs는 출생 전부터 존재하며, 주로 시냅스 전달 형성에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Calcium Channel gamma-3는 type I transmembrane AMPA receptor regulatory protein (TARP)으로, AMPA 수용체의 이동 및 채널 개폐 조절을 담당합니다. 또한 PMP-22/EMP/MP20 계열의 8개 단백질 하위군 중 하나로, CACNG3 유전자 이상은 소아 결여성 간질의 감수성 인자로 알려져 있습니다.
