Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
- Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-biotin and anti-Rabbit Serum.
Analysis by SDS-PAGE confirmed the preparation is substantially free of aggregates and shows a banding pattern consistent with purified Rabbit IgG.
Target Information
Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein (~65–67 kDa) comprising about half of blood serum protein.
Human serum albumin (HSA) is the most abundant protein in human plasma with a serum half-life of ~20 days.
It functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones, and stabilizes extracellular fluid volume.
Albumin binds water, Ca²⁺, Na⁺, K⁺, fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin, and drugs, and regulates the colloidal osmotic pressure of blood.
