Target Information
BMI-1은 Polycomb group (PcG) 다단백질 PRC1 복합체의 구성 요소로, 발생 과정 전반에 걸쳐 많은 유전자(특히 Hox 유전자)의 전사 억제 상태를 유지하는 데 필요합니다. PRC1 복합체는 크로마틴 재구성과 히스톤 변형을 통해 작용하며, 히스톤 H2A Lys-119의 단일 유비퀴틴화를 매개하여 크로마틴의 발현 가능성을 유전적으로 변화시킵니다. PRC1 복합체 내에서 BMI-1은 RNF2/RING2의 E3 유비퀴틴-단백질 리가아제 활성을 자극하는 데 필요합니다.
