The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Ocular albinism type 1 protein (GPR143) is a conserved integral membrane protein with seven transmembrane domains. It is expressed in the eye and epidermal melanocytes. Defects in GPR143 cause ocular albinism type 1 (OA1), also known as Nettleship-Falls type ocular albinism, an X-linked disorder characterized by severe visual impairment, retinal hypopigmentation, and the presence of macromelanosomes.
