Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, followed by screening to select optimal clones for production.
Advantages include:

  • Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. These monooxygenases catalyze reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids, and other lipids.
Aromatase localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and catalyzes the final steps of estrogen biosynthesis through three successive hydroxylations of the A ring of androgens.
Mutations in this gene may lead to increased or decreased enzyme activity, affecting estrogen-related physiological functions. Two transcript variants are known.
