Target Information
CENPB는 centromere 형성을 촉진하는 고도로 보존된 DNA 결합 단백질입니다. 이 단백질은 pogo DNA transposon 계열의 transposase로부터 유래되었으며, N-말단에 helix-loop-helix DNA 결합 모티프와 C-말단에 이합체화 도메인을 포함합니다.
CENPB는 centromeric alpha satellite DNA 내의 17-bp 서열(CENP-B box)을 인식하고 결합하며, 간기 핵과 유사분열 염색체의 특정 centromere 구조 조립에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 항-centromere 항체를 가진 환자의 혈청에서 주요 autoantigen으로 인식됩니다.
