- p75 (HSP75): 75 kDa mitochondrial protein
HSP70 is encoded by an intronless gene located in the MHC class III region with two related genes. It stabilizes existing proteins, assists folding of newly translated proteins, and participates in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway via interaction with AU-rich element RNA-binding protein 1.
