Target Information
CD18 integrin beta 2 subunit은 90 kDa의 type I 막단백질로, 모든 백혈구에 발현됩니다. CD18은 CD11a-c와 결합하여 세포 표면에서 이합체를 형성하며, 세포 부착 및 신호 전달 과정에 관여합니다.
CD18은 네 가지 CD11 분자와 결합하여 다음과 같은 백혈구 인테그린을 형성합니다:
- αLβ2 (CD11a/CD18, LFA-1)
- αMβ2 (CD11b/CD18, Mac-1, CR3)
- αXβ2 (CD11c/CD18)
- αDβ2 (CD11d/CD18)
이들 인테그린은 백혈구 이동과 세포 간 접촉에 필수적이며, CD18 결핍은 백혈구 부착 결핍증(LAD1)을 유발합니다. 또한 CD18은 Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica leukotoxin의 표적이며, 결함 시 psoriasiform 피부 질환이 발생할 수 있습니다. 두 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
