Product Specific Information

Description:
The eBioHMb1-1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse and rat CD29 (integrin beta 1), a 110–120 kDa member of the beta integrin family expressed by leukocytes, endothelial, smooth muscle, and epithelial cells. CD29 forms heterodimers with alpha integrins (CD49a–f) to create VLA-1 through VLA-6 complexes, mediating adhesion, trafficking, proliferation, and differentiation.

Each product includes 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate and 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer.

Applications Reported:
Flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested in flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells. Use ≤ 0.2 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize antibody titration for best performance.

Important Notes:

  • NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
  • Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.
  • Use CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) for optimal staining.
    • Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells.
    • For single-color controls: 5 µL per 100 µL cell sample (10³–10⁸ cells).

Based on Phiton™ technology utilizing nucleic acid dye structures engineered for optimized fluorescence with minimized spectral spillover.

ITGB1 is a cell surface glycoprotein expressed by various cell types, including all leukocytes. It forms heterodimers with multiple alpha chains (α1–α6), contributing to the structure of very late activation (VLA) antigens. ITGB1 mediates cell adhesion and interaction with extracellular matrix proteins such as collagen, laminin, fibronectin, and vitronectin.

Decreased ITGB1 expression is associated with multidrug resistance in tumor cells. It also plays a role in immune cell trafficking, inflammatory responses, and cytokine regulation in airway smooth muscle. Two main isoforms, β1A and β1D, exhibit tissue-specific distribution.
