Pejvakin은 청각 경로 신경의 활성에 필수적입니다. PJVK 결함은 DFNB59로 알려진 비증후성 감각신경성 난청의 원인입니다. DFNB59는 청각 신경병증 또는 청각 비동기화로 불리는 형태로, 청각 뇌간 반응이 결여되거나 비정상적이며, 외이 세포의 기능은 정상입니다. 이러한 청각 신경병증은 내유모세포, 내유모세포와 청각 신경의 연결, 청각 신경 자체, 또는 뇌간의 청각 경로 손상에서 비롯됩니다.
‘Pejvak’은 페르시아어로 ‘메아리’를 의미합니다.
