Target Information
PIG3 단백질은 산화 스트레스 및 방사선에 대한 세포 반응에 관여하는 산화환원효소 유사 단백질입니다. 이 유전자는 종양 억제 단백질 p53에 의해 유도되며, p53 매개 세포사멸에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 프로모터 영역에는 p53 결합 서열과 오핵산 반복 서열이 존재하며, 이 반복 서열의 다형성은 p53에 의한 전사 활성화 정도와 상관관계가 있습니다. 이러한 다형성은 암 감수성과 관련될 가능성이 제시되었습니다. 최소 두 가지 전사 변이체가 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
