Product Specific Information

1 µg/mL of MA5-45402 was sufficient for detection of HCN1 in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 100 kDa. No cross-reactivity against HCN2.

Target Information

HCN1 belongs to the hyperpolarization-activated cation channel family (HCN), which contributes to spontaneous rhythmic activity in both heart and brain.
HCN1 and HCN2 are critical for motor learning and neuronal integration by cerebellar Purkinje cells, influencing autonomous neuronal activity and network oscillations.
HCN1 expression is enriched in cerebral cortex, hippocampus, cerebellum, and facial motor nucleus.
HCN2 is abundant in mamillary bodies, pontine nucleus, ventral cochlear nucleus, and nucleus of the trapezoid body.
Regional specificity of HCN channels contributes to differences in neuronal pacemaker activity across brain systems.
