RSF1은 RSF 크로마틴 리모델링 복합체에 의해 규칙적인 뉴클레오솜 배열을 조립하는 데 필요합니다.
Rsf1은 pX 전사 활성화 인자에 의해 B형 간염 바이러스(HBV) 유전자의 전사를 촉진합니다.
HBV 감염 시 pX와 함께 TNF-alpha에 의해 유도된 NF-kappaB 전사 활성화를 억제합니다.
Rsf1은 인위적으로 크로마틴에 결합될 경우 전사를 억제하며, SMARCA5/SNF2H와 상호작용하여 RSF 복합체를 형성하고 HBV pX/HBx 단백질과 결합하여 바이러스 유전체 전사 활성화에 관여합니다.
