Description:
Monoclonal antibody 29A1.4 recognizes mouse NKp46 (CD335), a member of the natural cytotoxicity receptor (NCR) family. CD335 is a glycoprotein with two Ig-like domains and a short cytoplasmic tail, expressed uniquely on NK cells (including immature NK cells, DX5- CD3-), allowing discrimination between NKT and NK cells (NKp46+, CD3-). Staining is not strain-specific and has been shown in C57Bl/6, SJL, CBA/CA, and BALB/C strains. NKp46 plays a role in NK cell-mediated lysis of tumor and pathogen-infected cells.
