Target Information
Cyclins are regulatory subunits of cyclin-dependent kinases (cdks) and control transitions at specific phases of the cell cycle. Their temporal expression is tightly regulated, playing a critical role in modulating cdk enzymatic activity. Cyclin/cdk complexes are essential for progression through distinct stages of the cell cycle. In mammalian somatic cells, Cyclin A is required for S phase and passage through G2-phase.
