이 유전자의 돌연변이는 achondrogenesis, chondrodysplasia, 조기 발병성 가족성 골관절염, SED congenita, Langer-Saldino achondrogenesis, Kniest dysplasia, Stickler syndrome type I, spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia Strudwick type 등과 관련이 있습니다.
또한 chondrocalcin 처리 결함은 chondrodysplasia와 연관되어 있습니다.
