Reconstitute the lyophilized antibody with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.

TIM-3 (T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-3) is a member of the TIM family of immune regulating molecules. Its binding to Galectin-9 induces a range of immunosuppressive functions that enhance immune tolerance and inhibit anti-tumor immunity.
This monoclonal antibody (TI.B2) is produced from the hybridoma obtained by fusion of SP2/0 myeloma cells and B-lymphocytes from a mouse immunized with recombinant human TIM3-Fc (2365-TM).

Target Information

TIM3 (Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 2, HAVCR2) is a 281-amino-acid, type I Th1-specific cell surface glycoprotein expressed on terminally differentiated CD4+ Th1 and CD8+ Tc1 cells.
It contains an IgV-like domain, a mucin-like domain in the extracellular region, and a conserved tyrosine phosphorylation motif in the cytoplasmic region.

TIM3 is involved in macrophage activation and autoimmune disease induction. It down-regulates aggressive Th1-mediated immune responses and contributes to immune tolerance development.
Pathological significance has been noted in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis (EAE), a Th1-dependent autoimmune disease model, where TIM3 enhances disease severity in mice.
