C5AR2는 anaphylatoxin receptor family에 속하는 orphan receptor로, 7개의 transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptor 구조를 가집니다.
N-terminal N-glycosylation site, 여러 보존된 cysteine, 그리고 잠재적인 C-terminal phosphorylation site를 포함합니다.
C5a 및 C5a-des-Arg에 결합하며, C5aR-mediated inflammation을 음성 조절하는 scavenger receptor로 작용합니다.
Northern Blot 분석 결과, neutrophils/macrophages, mast cells, dendritic cells, brain, lung, heart, kidney, liver, ovary, testis 등 다양한 조직에서 C5aR과 함께 발현됩니다.
