Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
A full-length cDNA encoding a novel ribosomal protein L3 gene (RPL3L) was isolated and sequenced. The deduced protein consists of 407 amino acids and shares 77% identity with other mammalian ribosomal protein L3 genes. Southern blot analysis indicates that RPL3L is a single-copy gene. Unlike the ubiquitous expression of the standard ribosomal protein L3 gene, RPL3L is highly expressed in skeletal muscle and heart tissue, with low expression in the pancreas. The gene is located near PKD1 and TSC2 on chromosome 16p13.3.
