Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태아기 동안 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다.
성인에서는 간암(hepatoma)이나 기형종(teratoma)과 관련되어 발현될 수 있으며, 병리적 이상이 없는 경우에도 유전적으로 지속되는 경우가 있습니다.
AFP는 알부민의 태아형 단백질로 알려져 있으며, 두 유전자는 염색체 4번 상에 같은 방향으로 존재합니다.
AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며, 구리, 니켈 이온, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다.
양수 내 AFP 농도는 신경관 결손(spina bifida, 무뇌증 등) 선별 검사에 사용되며, 혈청 내 높은 AFP 수치는 간세포암(HCC), 기형암, 대장암, 췌장암, 생식세포 종양 등에서 관찰됩니다.
