Rad1은 Rad9, Hus1과 함께 PCNA 유사 복합체를 구성하는 단백질로, 9-1-1 cell cycle checkpoint 반응 복합체의 구성 요소입니다.
이 복합체는 Rad17 및 replication factor C와 연관되어 DNA 손상 복구에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Rad1 돌연변이는 방사선 저항성과 G2 checkpoint 활성의 부분적 회복을 유도하며, exonuclease 활성을 가진 것으로 보고되었습니다.
