For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7 K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Estrogen Receptors (ER) are members of the steroid/thyroid hormone receptor superfamily of nuclear receptors. The estrogen receptor is a ligand-activated transcription factor that, upon binding estrogen, undergoes a conformational change enabling dimerization and binding to estrogen response elements (EREs) in DNA.
ERs regulate gene transcription via coactivator or corepressor recruitment. Two forms exist—alpha (ESR1) and beta (ESR2)—encoded by separate genes. Alternative splicing yields at least four ESR1 isoforms (66 kDa, 53 kDa, 47 kDa, 35 kDa).
ERs are expressed in various tissues and are critical for sexual development, reproductive function, and bone health. They are implicated in pathological processes such as breast cancer, endometrial cancer, and osteoporosis.
