Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Troponin (Tn) is the central regulatory protein of striated muscle contraction. It consists of three components:
- Tn-I: Inhibitor of actomyosin ATPase
- Tn-T: Contains the binding site for tropomyosin
- Tn-C: Binds calcium, which abolishes the inhibitory action on actin filaments
Calcium binding to Tn-C triggers allosteric changes in muscle thin filaments, enabling actin-myosin interaction, ATP hydrolysis, and tension generation.
