This kit is based on Takara’s patented PicoPLEX technology, optimized for reproducible detection of:
- Copy number variants (CNVs)
- Single nucleotide variants (SNVs)

- Small structural variants
The PicoPLEX Gold kit outperforms traditional Multiple Displacement Amplification (MDA) technology for SNV detection.

Technology Overview
PicoPLEX WGA (Whole Genome Amplification) uses quasi-random priming technology, recognized as the international gold standard for CNV detection in single cells.
Originally developed for aneuploidy and CNV analysis, the chemistry has been enhanced (PicoPLEX Gold) to improve accuracy and resolution for SNVs and small structural variants through optimized enzymes, primers, and protocols.
