This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed in HEK293 cells. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Human NME1/NDKA.

Target Information

NME1 was identified due to reduced mRNA transcript levels in highly metastatic cells. Nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDK) exists as a hexamer composed of A (encoded by NME1) and B (encoded by NME2) isoforms. Mutations in this gene have been linked to aggressive neuroblastomas. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. Co-transcription with the downstream NME2 gene generates naturally occurring NME1-NME2 fusion transcripts, encoding a fusion protein sharing sequence identity with both gene products.
