For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The vertebrate ocular lens is composed mainly of terminally differentiated lens fiber cells. Two lens-specific intermediate filament-like proteins—phakinin (the product of the BFSP2 gene) and filensin—are expressed after fiber cell differentiation begins. These proteins form a unique cytoskeletal structure called the beaded filament (BF).
Mutations in the BFSP2 gene have been linked to juvenile-onset progressive cataracts and Dowling-Meara epidermolysis bullosa simplex.
