Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Superior specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

The ATF4 gene encodes a transcription factor originally identified as a mammalian DNA-binding protein that interacts with the tax-responsive enhancer element in HTLV-1 LTR. It is also known as CREB-2 (cAMP-response element binding protein 2).
This protein belongs to a family of DNA-binding proteins including AP-1, CREBs, and CREB-like proteins. These transcription factors share a leucine zipper region for protein-protein interactions and a basic DNA-binding domain.
Two alternative transcripts encoding the same protein have been described, and two pseudogenes are located on the X chromosome at q28 within an inverted duplication region.
