Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD5 is a 67 kDa single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on human T-lymphocytes.
It is found on all mature T cells, most thymocytes, and many T-cell leukemias and lymphomas.
CD5 also reacts with a subset of activated B cells and may regulate T-cell proliferation.
High expression is observed in thymocytes (95%) and peripheral blood lymphocytes (72%).
Diseases associated with CD5 dysfunction include thymus cancer and Richter’s Syndrome.
